ABOUT US

Show- Me Reindeer, LLC. has been owned and operated by us- Jeremiah and Kari Scull at our home in Moberly, MO since 2014. We have two young daughters- Addie and Audrie, who adore animals as much as we do. Each holiday season, we travel with the reindeer around the state as living Christmas traditions. Almost every day leading up to Christmas, we bring pairs of reindeer to participate in tree lighting ceremonies, promotional events, private parties, open houses, holiday festivals, and parades. We rotate the deer so that none of them spends too much time on the road, and they always bring two so they can keep each other company.

Even though appearing at so many events can get hectic at one of the busiest times of the year, our family looks forward to sharing the real spirit of Christmas.

At the events, we set up a magical Christmas scene with our 19th-century sleighs for photo ops and shed antlers for people to feel. We do not allow folks to touch or pet the reindeer at our large events. The no-touch policy helps the reindeer stay calm and ensures the safety of our animals amid the crowd of tree lightings and Santa appearances.

WHY REINDEER?

After taking our oldest daughter Addie to a local farm and home store to have her picture taken with a reindeer for her first Christmas, we realized that the reindeer were being brought in from other states as there were not USDA licensed exhibitors in our area of Missouri or in the entire St. Louis region.

 

After deciding to pursue the idea of being able to bring reindeer to Missouri, we joined the Reindeer Owners and Breeders Association to better educate us on the proper care and treatment of having reindeer then started the grueling task of upgrading our property to the meet USDA requirements. In early September 2014, we made the trip as a family to the “North Pole” to finally bring our 2 bull calves home. The following year we were fortunate to be able to bring home the father and mother of the calves to be able to start breeding on our farm in hopes of expanding our herd.
